Happy Anniversary with WordPress! Cool!
Yesterday when I logged in to my blog, I noticed a “Happy Anniversary” symbol in the WordPress header. It mentioned “Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!” and “You registered on WordPress.com 2 years ago! Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging!”. I am really amazed that I am on this blog here already for two years now. Did you know the “Top Posts & Pages” Widget? I never noticed it! Great Widget for Photography Blogs but not only!
I found something in the WordPress.com Dashboard under “Appearance” and then under “Widgets” which might me interesting for those WordPress.com Users who run their own Blog as a Photography Blog or for those who add Images to their own Blogposts very often. But also for those who just publish Text Content without Images. I found this nifty Widget called “Top Posts & Pages”. You can add it to your Sidebar on your Blog and it will basicly show your Top Posts. You can decide how many Top Blogposts or Top Photoposts the Widget should show. 1000 Likes on my Blog
Wow! I noticed the “1000 Likes” Achievement in the WordPress Topbar when I logged in! I never thought that I would get any or more then 100 likes. But now I got even 1000 likes of you all. Thank you so much. I started using WordPress Blog to write down my thoughts time by time. I later found all the other great Blogs and most of them added Photos to their Content so that I wanted to give it a try too. I bought a cheap Camera and made my first Photos. Is WordPress its quietest on Sundays?
I want to bring up a great Question which Renard Moreau asked some Time ago: “Is WordPress its quietest on Sundays?“. I think it is. I notice this Phenomenon every Sunday again. There are lesser likes on my Photos, no Comments, less Page Views and just a few Blogs of People in my List which are updated. But not really much Blogs… therefore not really much new Storys to read on WordPress on a Sunday. Do you noticed the same? So what is happening on each Sunday? Do People take Blogging Pause? Spam Comments in the WordPress Dashboard… Akismet works pretty great!
Today I was bored and thought I browse in the dashboard of my blog. I also browsed the section where you can find the comments which wasn´t approved by the comment spam filter called Akismet. If you host your blog for free on WordPress.com then you anyway have the tool installed. I am not sure how it is if you have hosted and installed WordPress on your own webserver. I guess you must install the tool then. I didn´t research and I also didn´t notice the Tool when I installed the WordPress CMS on my uncle’s webserver.
