Fir Hedge Background
Still experimenting with my new 40mm lens. And I realized you can also take some photos with it that could work as a nice Windows background on my PC, or as a background on my mobile devices. What I did there with the image above was getting very close to a fir hedge, focussing in the front and having depth of field in the background. I like photos like this one and will probably take my own background images in the future. I uploaded the image without doing any edits because I liked it as it came out of the … Continue reading Fir Hedge Background
White Flower
Here is another photo taken with my new Nikon 40mm Micro lens. It’s some time ago since I shot my last flower photos, because most of my lenses don’t do it well. Minimum focus distance was not really a big thing with my old point-and-shoot camera nor with my smartphone, that’s why I shot many photos of flowers back then. But my DSLR lenses didn’t do the job well, until now. So, I think once in a while there will be flower photos again on my blog. Continue reading White Flower
First Test Shot With Coins
As I mentioned in my previous post, I have a new lens, the Nikon 40mm Micro. When the lens arrived, I couldn’t wait to unbox it and attached the lens immediately. I wondered what I could photograph first. I mainly want to use it for small things, and then I looked into my wallet and found some coins, 1 Euro and 50 cents. I did put them on my desk and shot my first photo with this lens. Not too bad for the first one I think. Continue reading First Test Shot With Coins
A New Lens to Get Closer
I purchased the AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G lens and got it today. Main reason is that I often noticed how I have difficulties to focus close with my other lenses. Because of the minimum focus distance, I couldn’t get up-close to smaller objects. I like to take photos of small things and sometimes I need product phots that fit to articles I write. This can be close-up photos of cables, plugs, logos on products and so on. I didn’t count how often it was impossible for me to take a certain photo, I just can tell you it happened … Continue reading A New Lens to Get Closer
Simple But Tasty
Above is also one of my favorite meals. And it’s a simple one, which doesn’t mean that it isn’t tasty. It’s potato puree with spinach and fried eggs. A fairly cheap meal. I often eat this when I want to put more bank notes into my piggy bank than planned. And I don’t feel bad about it because as said, it’s delicious. I love eggs, and I love spinach and potatoes. It makes you full and happy, and it’s nutrient-rich. Continue reading Simple But Tasty
Helping Hand
I am not very religious, but that doesn’t exclude to be a help or to do good things. I often helped people in my life, on my own ways, and with my possibilities. I think I learned this from my mother. She always walked with opened eyes through her life, and where others looked away, she offered help. Sometimes it’s about tiny things, other times your help matters a lot. You definitely can’t save everyone and the whole world, but you can contribute by noticing the things that happen around you. It’s impossible to write it all down, and it’s … Continue reading Helping Hand
