I didn’t upload any photo of my hometown Lübeck since some time but now I will show you a new one. This week I had to visit one of the authorities and I really dislike bureaucracy, but on the other side it’s good because I can use it to take a walk in the morning. I shot the image above in one of the streets of the historic district of Lübeck. This district is basically the core of the city, the inner-city but I mentioned this often. There are some very beautiful streets. There are for example a lot of beautiful small alleys with cobble streets and plants growing up the houses as you can see on the photo. The architecture there is very interesting. In other streets you find a lot of cultural and old Brick Gothic buildings. I walked through the historic downtown of Lübeck, like I mentioned yesterday. As Lübeck is a town of the medieval time and as Lübeck was the Queen of the Hanseatic League, you can still see the charm of that time in the architecture today. That´s why we call the old part of the city “Historic Downtown” or in german “Altstadt” here.
