I saw a lot of dear yesterday during my hike, and I want to share the photos, but I start with the bad photos as I want to talk about the experience. I was in a forest, and suddenly there was this loud rustling, I heard something running over the forest foliage. At first I was shocked, because it could have been a wild boars, or even worse several boars, and I don’t want to see them now in a time where they might already have offspring, because they might want to protect them if you get in their way. Generally, it doesn’t have to happen, but it can and did happen that they become aggressive if you are too close. My next fear was that it could be a wolf, because they are back and there have been stories of a few sightings in our federal state, and you never know. My shock lasted a few second until I saw it was deer running into the covert on my right side.

I didn’t want to mess this up, I selected the program mode of my camera and tried to take pictures of the running deer. As you can see in the gallery, the results are bad, I was not fast enough and all images are blurry or trees are in the foreground. Anyway, I was excited, and I assumed that I maybe would get another chance, and I was right. I saw more deer in this forest and on the nearby fields. I will show you the other photos soon. Not all taken images are great, but I spotted already some good ones. I will upload the other deer photos soon. They are very shy, and you must be fast if you want to take photos of them, that makes it challenging. But now I am sure that we have a lot of deer around Reinfeld, and it seems I found a small forest surrounded by fields where it’s easier to find them. Everything hurts after my long hike, but as soon as the pain goes away, and if the weather conditions are great, I will go through the same forest again. Maybe I have luck again, I like to see wild life.
